So I went to the event where the Consul-General from Chicago spoke, and I found it very interesting. I'm not well versed on geopolitics, so I'll keep my impressions short. I think the Consul's general introduction to Japan was quite charming. The part that stuck with me the most was when he talked about the reconstruction that is still happening today after the earthquake and tsunami disaster a few years ago. I was also unaware of Prime Minister Abe's somewhat controversial stance on Japanese military before someone asked a question about it. This session made me realize just how much I don't know about Japan, and made me more excited to learn.

1. 今、何年生ですか？　大学を卒業（そつぎょう）した後で、どんな仕事（しごと）をしたいと思っていますか？　それはどうしてですか？

私は三年生です。大学を卒業した後で、JETプログラムにもうしこみたいんですが、先生になりたいですから、なんでも教えるプログラムがいいです。教えるのが大好きですよ。何年後で、大学院にいきたいです。げんご学(linguistics)をべんきょうしたいから。


2. 自分ができる仕事は、どんな仕事だと思いますか？

"Desk job"が大きらいですから、ビジネスのしごとをできません。どれでもいいとおもいます。

3. アメリカで仕事をさがす時、どんなことをした方がいいでしょうか？　いい仕事を見つける (to find)のは、やさしいでしょうか？

インターネットでさがした方がいいと思います。たくさんサーチインジンがあるでしょう。見つけた時はやさしくないとおもいます。しゅうしょくするのは大変なそうです。
