英語ではなしましょう。

So I went to the event where the Consul-General from Chicago spoke, and I found it very interesting. I'm not well versed on geopolitics, so I'll keep my impressions short. I think the Consul's general introduction to Japan was quite charming. The part that stuck with me the most was when he talked about the reconstruction that is still happening today after the earthquake and tsunami disaster a few years ago. I was also unaware of Prime Minister Abe's somewhat controversial stance on Japanese military before someone asked a question about it. This session made me realize just how much I don't know about Japan, and made me more excited to learn.
